Hi, I’m Jackie Hanafie. I’m a PR and advocacy consultant and strategic adviser from Melbourne, Australia specialising in non-profits, NGOs, start-ups and entrepreneurs.

I’ve lived in Brazil, Colombia and Indonesia and worked more broadly across Europe, Central and South America, the Middle East and Asia where I’ve immersed in local cultures and become fluent in Spanish.

Professionally, I’ve worked as a consultant and in-house providing high level strategic advice and counsel to hundreds of organisations with a focus on social justice and campaigning such as UNHCR (UN Refugee Agency), UNICEF, World Vision, Refugee Council of Australia, Beyond the Orphanage, Plan International and the Australian Council of Social Service.

I earned the honours degree of the Bachelor of Journalism (First Class) at Monash University and a Master of Strategic Public Relations from the University of Sydney. Currently I’m undertaking a second masters in International Relations at Macquarie University. I am also a professional member of the Public Relations Institute of Australia.

Passionate about social justice and environmental causes, I am a founding Board Member of Ocean Mimic –  an Indonesia-based UK charity working to protect the oceans and help solve the complex global plastic crisis.
